"Let Your Light Shine!"

St Hedda’s is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Esk Valley in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, approximately eight miles from the town of Whitby. St Hedda’s is a voluntary aided Roman Catholic primary school. It is the only Roman Catholic primary school in the rural area outside Whitby, serving, in addition to Egton Bridge itself, the surrounding villages from Goathland to Castleton.

St Hedda's is a happy, nurturing place to learn with a real family-feel. Our commited staff enable children to thrive through exciting learning activities, in and out of the classroom, whatever their starting point. Our aim is that every child is supported to be the best that they can be, and so to let their light shine. We strive to help children become confident, happy and skilled members of the community, ready for their next step into secondary school.

If you have any questions or comments throughout your journey with St Hedda's, please do not hesitate to contact us.
